Neypathiri or ney pathal or deep fried rice rotti is a very common breakfast / dinner dish in northern Kerala especially in Kozhikode and Malabar. For this great yummy dish you just need a few ingredients like coconut, small onion, rice and oil for frying. This is mostly made for dinner along with its combination curry like Malabar chicken curry, pepper Mutton, Mutton/chicken korma etc for dinner during Ramadan or mainly served for guests during some functions. We sometimes have it for breakfast along with a cup of tea. It’s very crispy and yummy; when it is served hot it has much more taste. Kids will go crazy with this crispy snack.
