Stuffed Buns

For the Bun

Ingredients

Al Purpose Flour-2 cups

Active yeast- 1/4tsp

Butter-1tsp

Sugar–2 tsp

Salt

Water-1/2cup

Method

In a big bowl pour water and add sugar ,salt and mix . Then add yeast and mix well and wait for 5 minutes . Then add flour in small amounts and mix well . Knead for 5 to 10 minutes until u get a soft dough . Cover the bowl with a wet musline cloth and leave it in a dry warm place for about 5 minutes . After 5 minutes take out the dough add butter to it . Knead  for 2 to 3 minutes and again allow to rest for 30 minutes .Then take out the dough and make them into 6 equal parts ..(u can do this  in a clean kitchen countertop ,dust with some flour b4 placing the dough )..

Make each ball into round shape..

For the filling

Ingredients

Potato -1 medium (peeled and cut)

Carrots - 1/2 

Big onion -1 big

ginger-garlic paste -1tsp

Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp

Green chilli-1chopped

Chilli powder-1 tsp

Coriander powder-1 1/2tsp

Garam masala -1tsp

Salt-to taste

Oil-2tsp

Method

Heat oil and add finely chopped onion ,ginger -garlic paste ,chopped green chilli along with some salt . Saute till onion become light golden shade. Now add all  powders one by one and state until the raw smell goes. Finally add medium chopped potato pieces  and carrots and mix well.Stir occasionally for 5 minutes b4 closing . Now close the pan and cook for 10 minutes and then add hot water and cook until done . Add salt if needed ..Now roast this masala until dry. Keep aside and let it cool. 

Now take each ball as we do for making aloo paratha ,stuff the dough with 1  1/2 tbsp of filling and close carefully ..(filling should not be hot )Do same with rest of the balls and place them in the baking tray (i placed aluminium foil in the tray ,if u have spray u can use that ) Again rest these balls rest for 20  minutes ..(always cover with the wet cloth ) Now brush with butter or egg. Now bake for 20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius …Each oven differs so bake till u see golden colour on the top..Then remove from the oven and brush with butter on top to get shiny glaze …At first u feel the bun to be hard but don’t worry after 5 minutes it will become soft ..

Note :

If u want u can make bun bit more sweeter...You can make ur own choice of  masala.
