Tasty and nutritious tea time snack. It can be prepared within no time and only simple ingredients are required.
Ingredients:
Bread 6 slices
Dates chopped in to small pieces-1cup
Ghee-2tsp
Egg-3
Milk-1tsp
Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
Sugar-4tsp
Method:
Heat one tbsp of ghee in a pan and roast dates for one minute. In a blender add egg, bread pieces, milk, cardamom powder and sugar. Blend in to a thick paste without foaming any lumps. In a non-stick pan add remaining ghee and pour half of the blended bread paste.
Cover it and allow to cook for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame (until the top gets to start cooking but not completely).
Open the lid and spread the date pieces on top of it evenly. Now add the remaining batter on top of the dates. Close the lid and cook for another 3 minutes. After that carefully turn in to the other side and cook for another two minutes.After cools down cut in to pieces and enjoy.
